There are 4 more links on the RRSD Links page to help with graphs. One graph generator, directions by me on how to use it for a scatter plot, and two sites that help you decide which type of graph is best for your project. Let me know if you have questions. You are not required to use this generator. You may use other generators found on-line, other software like Excel or you may draw them EXTREMELY neatly by hand. (Hint: use a straight edge if you do it by hand.)
On the main Science Fair page, there is now a survey. It is anonymous. So, how do you get credit you might ask? You need a parent to write a note that says you did it. DO NOT have them date it or I might know who sent which response. Put the note they wrote and signed in the science In-Box for your grade on or before Friday, January 9th, 2015 to earn 3 extra credit points toward homework/classwork.
The link to the page with the survey is below. Thanks, and be honest, please. :) One of our student's projects depends on your participation.
Bella is doing a color study and needs everyone in the middle school to wear Red shirts on Tuesday and Lightblue shirts on Wednesday to provide background colors for those who have signed consent forms to answer a question each day. If you do not own a school shirt or sweater in these colors, and cannot borrow one, then white would also be acceptable. Thank you to everyone for participating! ***Also, if you have not officially submitted your plan to the committee, see updated NOTE to the "ALL PLANS AND FORMS ARE DUE DECEMBER 5TH" post below.*** There are three new pages. Report Help, Abstract Help, and Tri-Fold Board
Check them out as there are only 15 school days left before science fair. If you do not understand something, now is the time to ask. (Although, I will be reachable over break through this blog and by e-mail.) -Mrs. Evans Most of your plan will become your research report. if you have turned into your final plan, you can begin to transform your plan into a report.
Make a title page. Center your title below or your first and last name below that put January 13, 2015 (because that is the date of the science fair and the date you will present your project). Also, start your table of contents. you may not know everything and the page it will be on yet, but you can begin it. Table of Contents (at top) Page 1 Introduction Page 1 Hypothesis Page Question Page more on the report, soon. Give it your best guess. 1 extra credit math homework point to the first 6th grader to post a comment including the name of the beverage mix Lil' Orphan Annie was known for advertising during the radio show years. And an extra credit point in math will be awarded to the next 6th grader to post how this beverage mix is related to math. Have a happy Saturday! :) Mrs. Evans Maddy has now earned 2 extra credit points. congratulations! I will still offer 1 more point to any 6th grader (besides Maddy, since you already earned the first two)... She gave the more difficult connection to math, from the movie, "A Christmas Story"...nice job! A decoder is most certainly math related! Can anyone else in 6th grade think of a more obvious connection, too? Marina got it! Oval is a shape, which is math. Nice!
Lilly. Lauren, And Talia, thank you for playing and for your effort, I will award you each a point as well! thanks to all for the fun today! Have a happy Sunday tomorrow! |
